Commemorating Bunker Hill 250th

A series of special events took place throughout June 2025 to mark the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill, a pivotal moment in American history. Hosted by the Bunker Hill Monument Association (BHMA) and local partners. The monthlong commemoration included lectures, reenactments, patriotic performances, and community celebrations honoring the people and legacy of the Revolutionary War.

Siege of Boston and Battle of Bunker Hill

A moderated discussion featuring acclaimed historian Nathaniel Philbrick and a leading British historian at Bunker Hill Community College.

Hero Square Dedication 

A tribute to Dr. Joseph Warren at Chelsea and Warren Streets, honoring his sacrifice and leadership.

Flag Day Celebration

Join the Old Guard Fife & Drum at the Bunker Hill Monument in a salute to the Army, recognizing its founding roots in the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Bunker Hill Day Parade 

A Charlestown tradition featuring the BHMA, the Old Guard, and a vibrant display of local pride and Revolutionary spirit.

200th Anniversary of the Monument’s Cornerstone Laying

A ceremonial procession and General Lafayette reenactment to mark this historic milestone.

Toasts and Odes 

An elegant evening of music, readings, and tributes at the Old South Meeting House, with participation from prominent Boston dignitaries.

Commemorative Service

A solemn ceremony at the Bunker Hill Monument attended by civic leaders and guests.
